Knight Reading, Twitter, Avatars.

Screen Shot 2014-11-21 at 6.06.29 AMYahoo! We’ve been reading and then reading some more. Students paired up with their buddy classes to share stories together in the Learning Commons. We created a fairytale castle for Knight Reading and students cozied up with flashlights in the little tent, under the tables and behind the canopies. Great fun!

We have also been exploring internet safety and learning about protecting private information on-line via mini book reviews. Here’s a Storify of some of our ideas:


Kindergarten students have been learning about Avatars and made cartoon images using I Made Face App. They had to figure out how to choose the right app, swipe in different directions and export to the camera roll. Check out some of their creations:

Pirate’s Den Buddy Reading

Students and their buddies came to the Learning Commons this week to join in Prate’s Den Buddy Reading. We decorated with lights and a background slideshow of pirate books.
